MR LEE KIAN JOO (李健愉) graduated from Japan Kyoto University (Engineering Degree) and National University of Singapore (Master of Science).
He has been learning Chinese Calligraphy under the guidance of Mr TAN THYE HOCK (陈泰福老师). These include 颜真卿楷书and 赵孟頫, 王羲之,唐寅行书etc. He has received major awards for the First or Second prizes at the various Singapore calligraphy competitions. These include the First Prize in both Brush (毛笔)and Pen (硬笔)Chinese Calligraphy awards at the National Calligraphy Competition (2019) organised by the Ponggol North CC and the Second Prize in Chinese Calligraphy awards at the prestigious Singapore National Calligraphy Competition (2019) organised by the Chinese Calligraphy Society of Singapore and many other awards.
Mr Lee has also led the writing of Hui Chun (挥春) for the members of the public at the CNY events organised by the Taoist College (Singapore) (新加坡道教学院) since 2018.
Mr Lee has strong passion in teaching of Chinese Calligraphy as he believes in promoting and continuing Chinese traditions like calligraphy to the new generations.
